I Surrender All

I personally don't care if we sing it in English or Czech. People will be able to relate either way. I tried to sing it in Czech with the English version, and it was little weird in some parts (where they tie the notes together, and we would have to change where we take breaths, etc.) So, here are the words in Czech for those of you who don't have Czech hymnal, if you want to see for yourself. Also, if we do sing this in Czech, we need to decide which verse we're going to sing. (Heritage sings only 2 verses)

1. Vzdam se vseho pro Jezise, vsechno jemu v obet dam
Chci mu slouzit verne tise, jak On kdysi slouzil nam

Ref: Vse ti v obet dam, vse ti v obet dam,
vsechno tobe Spasiteli, vsechno tobe dam.

2. Vzdam se vseho pro Jezise, bud pastyrem, Pane, mym,
ved mne do sve krasne rise, nadchni svatym Duchem svym.

3. Vzdam se vseho pro Jezise. Vezmi pane srdce me,
tahni k sobe vys a vyse at je plne lasky tve.

4. Vzdam se vseho pro Jezise, rad mu svoje srdce dam.
Pan je moje spasna skryse, zachranu v nem vecnou mam.


Speaking of what we're singing in Czech and what in English, could we decide on that right now for all the songs, so that we have that info to work with, when Zuzka and I get together. Trust me, language will make a huge difference in some of the music arrangements. And also, then we'll have to have Rene gather all that music for us when he goes to Czech.
